Union Health's Emergency Department in Terre Haute is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PRN) to assist RNs, monitor patients, and respond to emergencies with compassion in a fast-paced setting.

This role supports care plans, educates patients, and upholds policies while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Night shifts, on-call opportunities, and a supportive team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Basic medical knowledge and patient care procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with RN staff to assess patients' needs and report concerns.
• Assist in developing and modifying care plans, prioritize patient problems, and perform medical tasks.
• Provide patient education, follow policies, respond to emergencies, and act as a patient advocate while respecting rights and confidentiality.
• Evaluate interventions, maintain professionalism, and seek assistance when needed.

Patient Care Technician Details

License/Certification:

Candidate must have one of the following:

Valid Indiana CNA license, or

Agree to complete the Union Health PCT Training program upon hire.

Must be certified in healthcare provider BLS upon hire.
