Job summary

City of Hope in Newnan, GA is seeking a Night Shift Patient Care Technician (PRN) to support nursing staff and patient care of individuals with cancer and related conditions.

The role involves under RN supervision, assisting with daily living activities, monitoring, and coordinating with the multidisciplinary team. Required BLS/CPR; CNA/PCT experience preferred; unit secretary training a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months' experience as Nurse Aide/Monitor Tech in a health care environment, a second-year nursing student, or six months' prior experience in a medical setting.
• PCT certification or CNA license desirable.
• Current BLS and CPR required.
• Training as a Unit Secretary in a hospital or equivalent setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Paraprofessional caregiver who works under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse, assisting with activities of daily living, certain tests and procedures, environmental duties and other tasks as assigned.
• Organizes and manages the activity at the nursing desk to support the nursing process and provision of care to the patient; ensures accurate and timely order entry and proper coordination with the multidisciplinary team.
