Job summary

City of Hope in Illinois is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the night shift to support nursing staff and provide compassionate patient care. The role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, basic procedures, and maintaining a safe environment for patients.

Shifts run from 7:00pm to 7:00am, three days per week, with every third weekend and rotating holidays. A high school diploma or equivalent and active Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry or EMT CPR card are required to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry in good standing or EMT CPR card required.

Responsibilities

• A paraprofessional caregiver under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse.
• Performs activities of daily living, certain tests and procedures, environmental duties and other tasks as designated by competency level.
• Provides care for the patient age groups defined in the scope of care.

Job Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician is a paraprofessional caregiver under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse. Assumes responsibility and accountability for activities of daily living, certain tests and procedures, environmental duties and other tasks as designated by his/her competency level. The PCT provide care for the age groups as defined in the scope of care.
