City of Hope is seeking a Patient Care Technician for a PRN night shift, 7pm-7:30am, to support nursing staff and patient care. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, basic tests and procedures, and environmental duties under RN supervision.

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and six months of prior health care experience or in a medical setting; PCT/CNA certification is desirable, and BLS/CPR is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Six months prior experience as a Nurse Aide/Monitor Tech in a health care environment, a second-year nursing student, or six months prior experience in a medical setting.
• PCT certification or CNA license desirable.
• Current BLS and CPR required.
• Training as a Unit Secretary in a hospital or equivalent setting preferred

Responsabilités

• Paraprofessional caregiver who works under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse. Assumes responsibility and accountability for activities of daily living, certain tests and procedures, environmental duties and other tasks as assigned.
• Organizes and manages the activity at the nursing desk to support the nursing process and provision of care to the patient. Ensures accurate and timely order entry and the proper notification and coordination of the multidisciplinary team.
