Northwestern Memorial Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the Registered Nurse in direct and indirect patient care, including phlebotomy, vital signs, intake/output, and newborn care as needed.

Qualifications

• CNA Certification or nursing coursework in progress is required or preferred.
• CPR certification (BLS Healthcare Providers) is required.
• High school diploma required; college coursework or nursing education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge processes.
• Take and record vitals and intake/output for adults and neonates.
• Perform phlebotomy and support newborn care as needed.
• Assist with post-operative care and patient mobility under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and proper equipment setup.
