Job summary

Franciscan Health Michigan City Campus is seeking a Patient Care Technician to perform delegated patient care activities, spending significant time with patients to build trust, provide comfort, and support recovery under the guidance of nursing staff.

You will work alongside nurses and healthcare professionals throughout the hospital, gaining exposure to diverse patient populations and care environments. Minimum start pay is $18.02 per hour, with night shift opportunities available.

Qualifications

• You must have an active Indiana CNA license OR prior Patient Care Technician experience in an acute care setting OR nursing student who has completed your first semester of clinicals OR completed the Franciscan PCT Training Program.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association); Franciscan will provide training and recertification as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• You must either have an active Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license through the State of Indiana OR prior Patient Care Technician experience in an acute care health care organization OR are a nursing student that has completed your 1st semester of clinicals OR have completed the Franciscan PCT Training Program
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Franciscan will provide BLS training and recertification as needed
