Franciscan Health in Indianapolis is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our hospice-focused team. You will work closely with nurses to provide compassionate, person-centered care at the Indianapolis Hospice House and for outpatient hospice services.

The role involves ADLs support, vital signs, and transport of patients, with day-shift PRN scheduling. A CNA license or nursing student status, or prior PCT experience, plus BLS certification, are required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Nursing student after completing 1st semester of clinicals OR CNA license OR prior PCT experience in another acute care health care organization OR after completion of Franciscan PCT In-training program required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, oral care, grooming, ostomy care; assist with meals and feeding; assist with positioning, ambulation and mobilization; assist with elimination and toileting.
• Screening, collection, and recording data: vital signs, intake/output, weights, specimen collection.
• Restock patient room and unit supplies; perform equipment checks.
• Transport patients by wheelchair, cart, bed, or bassinet.
• Answer patient call-lights, telephones, and Vocera.

Educación

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license

As a Patient Care Technician at Franciscan Health, you’ll perform delegated patient care activities. You are the caregivers who spend most of the time with our patients. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• PRN Day Shift: 7am to 7:30pm


• Perform activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, oral care, grooming (shaving), urinary catheter and ostomy care; assist with meals and feeding; assist with positioning, ambulation, and mobilization; assist with elimination and toileting.

QUALIFICATIONS
