Responsibilities
  • 0-25% travel requirement
  • Take patient history and vital signs
  • Perform basic testing or screenings (vision, audio, urine drug screens, breath alcohol, EKGs, pulmonary function testing)
  • Perform phlebotomy for laboratory samples
  • Complete paperwork/computer work for lab tests
  • Perform point of care testing (strep, mono, glucose, influenza, pregnancy tests, urinalysis)
  • Maintain sterile techniques and sterilization procedures
  • Schedule and coordinate records for ancillary care
  • Assist providers with exams and testing
  • Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA)
  • Ensure equipment is operational
  • Log laboratory procedures and process related paperwork
  • Maintain examination rooms and stock supplies
  • Ensure smooth patient flow
  • Handle registration duties, explain insurance and pricing, collect payments
  • Assist with documentation and transcription
  • Support provider efficiency
  • Greet and register patients
  • Answer and triage phone calls
  • Take payments and handle reports
  • Perform other front desk and cleaning duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Follow written instructions and work practices
  • Establish effective relationships with staff, patients, and families
  • Physical and mental stamina for standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Computer skills, including EMR and patient registration
  • Up-to-date on injections and documentation per OSHA
  • CPR certification
  • Excellent listening, note-taking, and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Teamwork and customer service orientation
