Position Overview

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Fresenius Medical Care, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with kidney disease. You will build meaningful relationships with patients and work under the supervision of a licensed nurse to provide dialysis therapy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Set up, test, and operate hemodialysis machines for patient treatments.
2. Obtain and document pre- and post-treatment vital signs and weights.
3. Evaluate vascular access and perform cannulation.
4. Monitor patient responses and intervene as prescribed.
5. Discontinue dialysis treatments following procedures.
6. Report significant patient information to supervisors.
7. Accurately enter treatment data into clinical systems.
8. Prepare and store lab samples per specifications.
9. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and environment.
10. Assist in patient education and support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented traits.
• Previous patient care experience preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of dialysis training and CPR certification required.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
