Responsibilities
- Travel up to 25%
- Take patient histories and vital signs
- Perform tests such as vision, audio, urine drug screens, breath alcohol, EKGs, pulmonary tests
- Collect laboratory samples via phlebotomy
- Complete paperwork and computer entries for lab tests
- Perform point-of-care tests like strep, mono, glucose, influenza, pregnancy, urinalysis
- Maintain sterile techniques and sterilize equipment
- Coordinate patient records and assist providers with exams and procedures
- Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA)
- Ensure equipment functionality
- Log procedures and process paperwork
- Maintain examination rooms and supplies
- Support patient flow and registration duties
- Explain insurance and pricing to patients, collect payments
- Assist with documentation, reports, and front desk duties
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Follow written instructions and work standards
- Establish effective relationships with staff and patients
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and transfer patients and equipment
- Proficient computer skills, including EMR
- CPR certification and up-to-date injections documentation
- Excellent listening, note-taking, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and team player
- Friendly, customer-service oriented, capable of handling high call volumes
- Physical strength to lift up to 50 pounds
