Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist under the RN or LPN in delivering individualized patient care and performing designated clinical procedures and supportive tasks as part of the care team. The position is part-time with 12‑hour shifts, days or nights, at 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; may be considered for PCA role with 175‑hour Mercy training during new hire orientation (90 days).
• Preferred experience: EMT, Paramedic, PCA/CNA or active nursing student.
• BLS certification required within one month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist under RN or LPN in individualized patient care to support wellness goals.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non‑clinical support tasks essential to patient care.

Education

High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program / 18+
