Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the CDU. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts (6:30a–7:00p).

No experience is required; Mercy offers a 175-hour PCA training program during new hire orientation and supports progression to PCA, PCT, or Nurse Technician as qualifications are met. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS within one month, and PCT competency within three months.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training program provided for PCA role.
• BLS certification required within one month of hire.
• PCT competencies to be completed within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred: EMT, Paramedic or prior patient care experience (PCA/CNA/student nurse).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in healthcare pathway or co-worker of Mercy.
