Qualifications

• No prior experience required; may start in PCA role with a 175‑hour Mercy training program completed within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred EMT, Paramedic, or prior patient care experience (PCA, CNA, or nursing student).
• Must have HS diploma or GED, CNA/CPCT or be enrolled in healthcare career program; 18+ and able to participate in Mercy's UAP training.
• BLS within one month of hire; PCT competencies within 3 months of hire.
• Preferred CNA, EMT, AUA or CPCT certifications.
• Position requires lifting 50 pounds, prolonged standing/walking, and ability to bend/reach/squat.

Responsibilities

• Assist under RN or LPN in individualized patient care to support wellness.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks essential to patient care.
• Collaborate with the care team to meet patient goals and ensure safe care delivery.
