Prisma Health seeks a Nursing Assistant / Patient Care Technician to support the Registered Nurse in meeting basic patient needs at Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. Duties include hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and monitoring patient status during night shifts.

The role requires completion of a nursing assistant or related program; hospital experience preferred. In lieu of coursework, CNA/CMA certifications may be considered. Unit secretary training within 90 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• Education - Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience - One year hospital clerical experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with personal hygiene (bathing, hair, teeth care).
• Assist with feeding and meal setup.
• Assist with ambulation and fall prevention under RN direction.
• Assist with elimination (bathroom, bedpan, bedside commode) and monitor inputs/outputs.
• Complete and document vital signs; report abnormal values to the RN.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
