Job summary

Prisma Health's Marion Suite in Richland Hospital seeks a Patient Support Technician for night shifts. You will perform routine assistive tasks to help the Registered Nurse meet basic patient needs, under supervision.

You'll aid with personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, elimination, and monitor vital signs, documenting findings and reporting abnormalities to the nurse. This role requires CNA/CMA training or nursing fundamentals and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA or CMA course or nursing fundamentals required.
• One year hospital clerical experience preferred.
• CPR Heartsaver and BLS certification required or higher.
• Candidates must complete PrismaHealth unit secretary course within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists patient with personal hygiene (bathing, hair care, teeth brushing, washing hands).
• Assists with nutrition and feeding (setting up meal trays, helping with feeding).
• Assists with ambulation and fall prevention under RN direction.
• Assists with elimination needs and tracks inputs/outputs.
• Records and reports vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respiratory, SpO2/ETCO2) to RN.
