Prisma Health seeks a nursing assistant to support registered nurses in our Med-Surg unit. You will help with basic patient care, hygiene, nutrition, mobility, and elimination while accurately documenting inputs/outputs and vital signs.

Requirements include completion of a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care course and alternative credentials like CNA/CMA are welcomed. Prior hospital clerical experience is a plus. This is a day shift at Baptist Hospital in Columbia.

Qualifications

• Completion of Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course.
• One year hospital clerical experience preferred.
• Current CNA or CMA certification accepted in lieu of school verification at time of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist patients with personal hygiene including bathing, hair care, brushing teeth and hands.
• Assist with nutrition and feeding, set up meal trays and help with drinking.
• Assist with ambulation and fall prevention under nurse supervision.
• Help with elimination needs and monitor input/output.
• Record vital signs and report abnormal values to the RN.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
