AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based, not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine, and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. The hospital hosts GME programs in general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, and transitional year. It is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute and the Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, leading in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and research.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Patient Care Tech works under the supervision of a professional nurse, assisting with specific duties and activities of daily living in caring for age-specific groups. The role involves adhering to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable regulations, actively participating in outstanding customer service, and maintaining respectful relationships with patients and staff.

  • Assists with safe and effective care routines and activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, skin care, nutritional needs, elimination needs, physical activity, and comfort measures, while maintaining respect and privacy.
  • Performs basic patient care routines, such as obtaining and documenting vital signs, reporting abnormal findings promptly, and accurately documenting intake and output.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences needed to succeed include:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • BLS certification
  • Current Florida CNA or EMT license
