A leading healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated individual to deliver direct patient care in an Oncology and Women’s Services unit. This full-time position requires a high school diploma and BLS certification, focusing on bedside care and patient support. The role involves working rotating shifts, ensuring compassionate care for patients undergoing treatment.
Unit 3-2 is an Oncology and Women’s Services acute inpatient unit. Our specialties include cancer treatment, chemotherapy, palliative care, female medical and surgical patients including GYN surgery and some obstetrics.
Delivers direct patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse. Performs tasks that do not require nursing judgments or administration of medications.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Bedside patient care, vitals, positioning, feeding, and EKG.
Is accountable for the patient care they deliver. Adheres to St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center standards of care and practice.
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Medical background, mechanical aptitude, and manual dexterity are preferred.
Basic computer skills required.
Participates in orientation and continuing education, updating and maintaining knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Completes population-specific competency annually based on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.
Current BLS/CPR certification and First Aid training provided upon hire.
Office/Clinical setting. Exposure class I.
Heavy work: requires standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying.

Pay Range: $17.25 - $25.00
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
