General Summary

Department: Med Surg

Schedule: 36hrs, 12hr Night Shift, 7pm-7:30am, Sunday - Saturday

Responsibilities

1. Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.
2. Aid with movement and placement of patients.
3. Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
4. Report findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
5. Document necessary records.
6. Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.

Education and Experience Requirements

1. High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable job-specific experience.
2. Note: Professional licensure/certification can substitute for education or experience, if applicable.

Certifications/Licenses

1. BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
2. Nurse Aide credential from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred; any issuing authority accepted.
