Job Description

ProMedica Flower Hospital is located in Sylvania, OH, a suburb of Toledo. The hospital is a 311-bed facility housing the Hickman Cancer Center, ER Trauma Center, and regional inpatient adult psychiatric services. The campus includes the Goerlich Center for patients with Alzheimer’s and Dementia and the Ebeid Center hospice facility.

Position Summary

The Surgical Technician functions as part of the Labor and Delivery team, performing duties as a scrub technologist. Responsibilities include maintaining the sterile field, handling instruments and supplies, and collaborating with the circulating nurse on counts and preparations. Other duties involve assisting with procedures and ensuring proper supplies are available.

Job Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or Licensed Practical Nurse program.
• License: Certified Surgical Technician or LPN licensure in Ohio; certification must be obtained within 1 year if not already certified.
• Certifications: BLS required.
• Experience: Prior experience in L&D preferred.
• Skills: Ability to follow directions, communicate effectively, and use a computer.
