Job summary

SummitRidge Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients across inpatient behavioral health programs. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and partner with the care team to maintain a safe, comforting environment for adolescents, adults, and seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of nursing assistant course.
• Alternate: enrolled in RN/LPN/EMT program with fundamentals course.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with basic clinical tasks within scope, including vital signs and accu-checks.
• Maintain a safe, calm environment by organizing the unit and documenting observations.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and encourage healthy routines.
• Support participation in therapeutic groups and daily activities.
• Respond calmly in crises under guidance of licensed staff.
