Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team on the full-time day shift (7a–7p).

As a PCT, you will support RNs with basic patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain clean, safe patient areas while contributing to department throughput.

Qualifications

• High school degree preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs and intake/output.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, ambulation).
• Observes and promptly reports abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Maintains clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
• Manages the tech desk and supports nursing/physician staff and department throughput.
• Documents care and activities per unit standards.
