Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• No professional certifications required.
• Hospital or long-term care experience; or nursing school students with one semester of clinical instruction, LPN, or equivalent experience.
• Basic computer skills and patient care abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in collaboration with the RN and observes changes in patient condition.
• Communicates changes promptly to the RN and responds to emergencies.
• Maintains a patient-focused care approach and assists with feeding and daily living activities.
• Documents observations and care using center-approved forms and systems.
• Measures vital signs and monitors patient progress.
• Prepares patients for tests and therapy, and supports with mobility as needed.
• Demonstrates time management, organization, and critical thinking in daily tasks.
• Maintains HIPAA privacy and professional behavior.
