Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to join our team in Worcester, MA. This position supports licensed clinicians, provides essential patient care, and helps ensure a safe, compassionate environment for patients and families.

You will perform routine tasks, record vitals, assist with daily activities, and participate in unit safety and care procedures. A signing bonus may be available and hours are 32 per week on day shift.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Knowledge of medical terminology beneficial.
• Computer skills required for charting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under licensed clinician supervision.
• Maintain safety and de-escalation as needed.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Record vitals and document observations.
• Support RN/LIP with treatments and procedures.
