Job Description Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient-centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes. Responsibilities include measuring and documenting vital signs, identifying patient concerns and reporting them, and moving or relocating patients for comfort and medical needs. An effective PCT should have patience, empathy, good communication, and organizational skills to interact with the Care Team.

Physical and Sensory Requirements
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and working in various environments. Good vision, hearing, and tactile sensory functions are required, along with the ability to work rotating shifts and overtime when needed.
Additional notes include the importance of working effectively under stress, in latex-safe environments, and maintaining physical fitness for respirator use if necessary.
