Endeavor Health in Highland Park, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the ICU night shift. This full-time role (36 hours per week) runs 7pm–7:30am with rotating weekends and no travel.

You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care, assist with vital signs, EKGs, and discharge preparation. Requirements include eligibility to work in the U.S., preferred CNA training or nursing clinical rotation, and current BLS certification.

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

Position: Patient Care Technician - ICU

What you will do

• Work under the supervision of a RN to deliver patient care Assist with Vital Signs (includes manual blood pressure), 12-Lead EKG, Bladder Ultrasound, Foley catheter and IV adapter removal, sterile specimen collection, bathing, beds, ambulating, turning, hourly rounding, blood glucose, feeding, admitting patients to room, preparing patients for discharge and any other duties delegated by the Registered Nurse Assist with the implementation of a patient specific care plan Participate in other activities which are essential to the functioning of the patient care unit Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience

What you will need

• Education: Eligible to work in the U.S., and completion of an accredited certified nursing assistant (C.N.A.) training course preferred, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical preferred
• Certification: Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by either American Heart Association required.
• Experience: 1 year of customer service preferred and/or prior nursing assistant experience preferred
