Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician I for the SVH inpatient unit. This full-time role involves on-site work in Erie, PA, with a 3 x 12-hour rotational schedule across day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts.

The incumbent will assist with basic nursing tasks and coordinate patient flow under RN supervision. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, enrollment in an ASN/BSN program preferred, and CPR/clearance certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 weeks of training required.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents direct patient care tasks such as vital signs, ambulation, meal assistance, and specimen collection.
• Assists in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers and maintains a clean environment.
• Notifies nursing staff of changes in patient condition and documents in EMR.
• Supports unit activities including supply stocking and equipment cleaning.
