Job summary

Atlantic Health System in Summit, NJ is seeking staff to assist doctors and nursing staff to meet the basic needs of each patient. Daily tasks include feeding, bathing, dressing, and monitoring vital signs as part of a patient care team.

Responsibilities include taking and recording vital signs, weights, heights, aiding mobility, post mortem care, and performing EKGs, phlebotomy, and glucose monitoring, while observing changes and reporting to the RN and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
• Performs post mortem care
• Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory
• Other related duties as assigned.
