Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Part Time AMG Primary Care Medical Assistant in Totowa, NJ. You will provide general direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision, and assist with clerical tasks such as scanning, scheduling, and checking patients in.

Shifts vary: 8a-4p, 9a-5p, or 10a-6p, Monday to Friday. You will collaborate with the care team to support efficient operations and high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Records medical information and test results, conducts patient interviews, takes and records vital signs, collects specimens, and administers medication under physician supervision.
• Greeting patients: Welcoming patients to the facility and Scheduling appointments as needed.
• Taking vital signs: (Height, weight, blood pressure, pulse)
• Assisting with examinations: Working closely with physicians to perform clinical tasks
• Collecting and preparing laboratory samples: Instructing patients on how to collect samples or drawing blood. Performing phlebotomy on a daily basis.
• Performs POCT ( UA, Rapid Testing, Glucose Testing)
• Performs EKGs
• Prepping examination rooms: Ensuring the exam room is ready for the patient, including disinfecting equipment
• Assists with referrals of patients to the appropriate specialist for diagnosis or treatment.
• Excellent Communication, Work Ethic, Active Listening, Adaptability to working in fast-paced environment, and hold upmost professionalism at all times. Strong written and communication skills.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
