Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Oncology unit. Night shift, 7p–7:30a, 36 hours weekly with weekend work required.

The PCT provides direct patient care under a nurse's supervision, using basic clinical skills, documenting clinical information, and operating specialized patient care equipment to ensure safe, compassionate care. Required: High School diploma, Maryland CNA cert, current BLS CPR, and 1 year of clinical

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification on Maryland Board of Nursing
• Current BLS CPR certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
• One year of clinical experience is required

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) performs direct patient care tasks under the supervision of a nurse and taking into consideration the developmental needs of the patient, performs routine patient activities and delegated patient care procedures of a specialized and technical nature as competency documentation designates. The PCT utilizes basic clinical skills to support daily patient care activities, accurately records and reports pertinent clinical information, and demonstrates proficiency in the use of specialized patient care equipment to ensure a safe and supportive care environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification on Maryland Board of Nursing
• Current BLS CPR certification provided by AHA, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network
• One year of clinical experience is required

Salary Range: Minimum 20.08/hour - Maximum 31.13/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
