Johns Hopkins Medicine seeks a Patient Care Tech I for Oncology Ambulatory Services to support infusion clinics, assist nursing staff, and coordinate patient care for hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. This full-time, day-shift role requires Maryland CNA certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS CPR, and at least one year of clinical experience in a relevant setting.

Salary ranges from $18.96 to $28.53 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Patient Care Tech I – PCT - Oncology Ambulatory Services

Full time – Day shift – 40 hours a week

The Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Clinics provides both standard of care and research chemotherapy/immunotherapy, supportive care infusions, and clinical interventions for hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. Other performance and patient outcome services include nurse telephone triage, discharge planning, care coordination, ambulatory clinical evaluation, and advanced drug preparation. Registered Nurses (RNs) care for patients with solid tumor diagnosis in the Viragh Building and patients with hematologic malignancies in the Weinberg Building. Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required.
• One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Salary Range:

Minimum 18.96/hour - Maximum 28.53/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
