Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist the nurse in direct patient care under supervision, performing daily living activities, vital signs, and basic procedures. You will help with meals, hygiene, and mobility, while ensuring safety and infection control on the unit.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma, Maryland CNA I or II, Heart Saver CPR, and at least 6 months of direct patient care experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Maryland CNA I or CNA II registration.
• CPR certification (Heart Saver).
• At least 6 months direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, bed linens).
• Take and record vitals, weights, i/o, glucose checks, and use pulse oximetry.
• Observe patients and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe patient rooms and assist with admissions/transfers/discharges.
