Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent must be completed.
• Current MD Board of Nursing Examiners registration as CNA I or CNA II.
• Heart Saver (CPR) certification required.
• Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail when performing basic patient care tasks.
• Experience in direct patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, comfort and safety to assigned patients under nurse supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, changing bed linens.
• Take and record vital signs, weights, and routine measurements; document in EMR.
• Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges; transport patients when needed.
• Support patient feeding and nourishment distribution; maintain clean patient rooms.
• Perform simple nursing tasks and follow delegated instructions from nurses.
