Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Nursing Support role to assist licensed nurses in providing patient care on the unit. The position requires supporting daily activities, documenting vital signs, and collaborating with the care team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA certification (I or II) in Maryland, CPR certification, and at least 6 months of direct patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience in direct patient care preferred.
• Current CNA I or CNA II registration with State Board of Nursing in Maryland; CPR (Heart Saver) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN/LPN with direct public patient care under supervision.
• Perform delegated nursing tasks per nurse direction and unit policy.
• Observe, record vital signs, intake/output, and routine measurements in patient charts.
