Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician I in Morristown, NJ for a full-time day shift. The role supports Hematology/Oncology services within AMG Hematology/Oncology, performing vital signs, basic procedures, and patient assistance under RN supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, with BLS within 3 months of hire, and preference for healthcare experience and CCMA certification. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with Care Center staff.
• Completion of Healthcare Provider Course within six months preferred.
• CCMA in PCT program related preferred.
• 6 months prior healthcare experience with patient care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with vital signs, weight, and height.
• Assist mobility: ambulation and transfers.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy and glucose monitoring if needed.
• Record patient history, prepare examination rooms, and assist with minor procedures.
• Observe and report changes to the RN.
• Prepare examination rooms and document patient data.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Work with diverse patient groups; attentive to detail and communication.
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
