Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist nurses and care for patients in a collaborative hospital setting. This role involves vital signs, daily living support, meal service, and basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.

Required is a high school diploma with strong reading, math, and communication skills; BLS is preferred and will be completed within 90 days of hire. This position is based in Beverly, MA with base pay described below.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Desire to help people and/or aspire to healthcare professional.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Medical terminology (preferred).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Vital signs, height/weight, oxygen saturation, and intake/output monitoring.
• Report unusual observations to the nurse.
• Collect specimens for analysis and assist with nutrition/room service tasks.
• Provide personal care and assist with daily activities.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.
