Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide direct, age-appropriate care under the direction of RNs or licensed practitioners. You will monitor patient conditions, assist with daily living activities, and ensure a safe, clean, stocked environment on your assigned unit.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification/licensure, and ability to collect patient data, observe safety, and communicate effectively with the health care

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification/licensure preferred or required per listing.
• BLS/CPR or equivalent HCP certification required.
• Healthcare experience or foundations course with clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, direct care to patients on the assigned unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the care team.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Care for patients according to nursing/medical plans of care.
• Maintain safe, clean, stocked environment and use PPE as needed.
