Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- Turkey Creek Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff with basic patient care tasks and daily living activities in a high-quality, patient-centered environment.

The role includes collecting vital signs, assisting with meals and hygiene, helping with mobility, and maintaining a clean, safe care area while following infection control and PPE protocols. CNA/BCLS preferred or pursued.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
• CPCT or CNA certification preferred or actively pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care services and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Collect and record patient data including vital signs, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, oral care, grooming, linen changes and mobility aids.
• Assist with patient positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility devices.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols, including proper PPE usage.
• Communicate patient information effectively to the care team and remain adaptable.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and comply with safety standards.
