The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA preferred upon hire; one year of healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Job description

Patient Care Technician - General Internal Medicine - 7a - 7p The General Internal Medicine unit is a 25-bed medical oncology unit providing care to adult and geriatric patients ranging in age from 18 - 95. Four monitored beds are designated for melanoma, renal cell carcinoma, sarcoma, cervical, ovarian, thoracic and pancreatic cancer patients receiving high-dose bolus interleukin-2 and/or targeted cellular therapy requiring cardiac monitoring. Primary populations treated include: melanoma, sarcoma and GI patients receiving complex chemotherapeutic and bio-immunotherapeutic regimens and all solid tumor cancer patients receiving immune effector cell therapy. The Ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one year of healthcare experience. They work well on a care team, assisting with patient activities, vital signs, and maintaining a safe environment while ensuring accurate patient information updates. Working Hours: The working hours for this role will be 7a-7p. It will be 3 days a week at 12hrs a day. At MD Anderson, we offer careers built on care, growth, and balance. Education

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Preferred at least one year of healthcare experience

Licenses and Certifications

• Preferred: CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant Upon Hire
