Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support patient care across units. The role emphasizes safety, patient focus, teamwork, and ongoing education. Applicants may enter via the HMH PCT Apprentice Program and advance to a full Patient Care Technician position.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and completion of a CNA/MA/PCT program or equivalent medical background. Prior phlebotomy/EKG experience is preferred.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of CNA/MA/PCT or nursing program, or equivalent medical background; apprenticeship options exist.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and maintain accountability and teamwork.
• Phlebotomy, EKG, vital signs experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient care based on age-appropriate criteria and safety standards.
• Ensure safe patient outcomes through sound judgment and actions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients, nursing staff and healthcare team about patient status and care.
• Show initiative to exceed basic duties and improve job performance.
• Participate in interdisciplinary planning from admission to discharge.
• Engage in Unit/Department Performance Improvement activities.
