Job summary

BayCare is seeking an experienced Patient Care Tech to join our Staffing Resource Office Float Team. The role involves providing direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision and floating across BayCare hospitals and units.

The candidate must hold BLS and have 6 months acute care or 1 year SNF experience, or Nursing Fundamentals, or EMT/Paramedic for ER. Shift coverage is PRN with evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from recognized provider.
• 6 months acute care experience or 1 year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or Nursing Fundamentals from a program.
• EMT certification or Paramedic license for ER only.
• Education: High School or Equivalent; Technical - Patient Care Technician; or Technical - CNA/LPN/EMT accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN.
• Float to multiple hospitals/units as part of Staffing Resource Office Float Team.
• PRN requires 4 shifts in a 6-week schedule including 2 weekend shifts; holiday commitment as specified.
• Shift hours: 6:45pm–7:15am; on-call and remote work are not required.

BayCare is seeking experienced patient care technicians to join our staffing resource office float team. Must be comfortable floating to multiple hospitals/units.

PRN requires 4 shifts in 6-week schedule to include 2 weekend shifts. Holiday commitment 1 summer and 1 winter holiday and 1 hard to fill staffing shift.

Summary:
Provides direct patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Certification includes Basic Life Support from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.

Minimum requirements include 6 months acute care experience or 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals from a Nursing Program; or EMT certification / Paramedic license for ER only.

Preferred - 1 year - Hospital in related field.

Education equivalent experience:

Required - High School or Equivalent; Required - Technical - Patient Care Technician; or - Technical - Certified Nursing Assistant; or - Technical - Emergency Medical Technician; or - Technical - Licensed Practical Nurse.

Preferred - EMT (Emergency); Preferred - LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)
