Job summary

Episcopal Health Services, Inc. seeks a Patient Care Technician for the night shift, 75 hours biweekly, at our Queens/Long Island area facility.

You will work under an RN to deliver direct patient care, support rehabilitative activities, and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to promote optimal health across the lifespan. The role requires NHA-certified patient care tech, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Patient Care Technician Certification from NHA is required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Minimum of one year CNA experience preferred.

• Participates in a patient-focused team approach to provide direct and collaborative healthcare across settings.
• Performs a variety of technical, para-professional, rehabilitative or therapeutic procedures under RN supervision.

• Performs a variety of technical, para-professional, rehabilitative or therapeutic procedures and activities relating to patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Works under the supervision of the RN.

Job Requirements

• Patient Care Technician Certification from National Health Career Association - N.H.A. isrequired.
• High School Diploma or Equivalency
• American Heart Association Certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS)
• Minimum of one year experience as Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
