Job summary

PIH Health invites applications for a Dialysis Patient Care Technician in Los Angeles. The role provides care for patients before, during and after dialysis under RN supervision, ensuring safety and quality in line with hospital policy.

The ideal candidate holds a current hemodialysis technician certification and a current BLS card, with the ability to obtain the LA City Fire Card within six months. Prior dialysis experience is preferred and patient education is part of daily work.

Patient Care Technician, Dialysis, Full Time, Days

The Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT) will provide care for the patient receiving dialysis, before, during and after the dialysis treatment, under the direct supervision and delegation of the acute inpatient dialysis Registered Nurse (RN). The dialysis PCT will provide direct and non-direct patient care, under their scope of practice, as deemed necessary by the acute inpatient dialysis RN. In addition, the dialysis PCT will provide quality assurance for machines and equipment in compliance with hospital policy and federal regulations.

Required Experience

• Current Basic Life Support Card
• Must obtain LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment
