Job summary

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD is seeking a Regular CNA to provide routine patient care under nurse or physician direction. You will assist with ambulating, bathing, feeding, and coordinating care, and respond promptly to patient needs.

Hours are 6:30am-7pm with every 3rd weekend/holiday rotation. Required is a High School diploma or GED and CNA certification; strong communication and teamwork are essential in this multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with CNA certification.
• Ability to provide routine patient care under supervision.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe patient care: ambulating, bathing, feeding, and monitoring needs.
• Responds promptly to call lights and supports care coordination with nurses.
• Greets patients and assists with messages, errands, and transport as needed.
• Maintains clean patient rooms and proper handling of valuables and items.
• Performs clerical duties related to admissions, transfers, and charts.
