Job summary

Avera St Mary's Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide routine patient care and support services under nursing supervision. Works rotating days/evenings/nights with weekends and holidays in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include ambulating patients, feeding, assisting with transfers, and coordinating with departments to ensure timely care. Must be 18+ with CNA certification and able to work year-round.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform all essential job functions and communicate effectively.
• High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, direct patient care including ambulating, bathing, and feeding.
• Responds to patient call lights and assists with needs.
• Greets patients and assists with messages, errands, and coordination of care.
• Ambulates and positions patients; assists with transfers and measurements.
• Prepares requisitions and coordinates outpatient appointments.
