Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a patient care associate for the Behavioral Health Unit in Michigan. Under the supervision of a nurse, you will perform day-to-day patient care activities and help maintain a healing environment, with attention to developmental, age-specific, and cultural needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, feeding, hygiene, mobility, and ensuring HIPAA and infection-control compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• BLS must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Canadian equivalent.
• Preferred: prior experience in direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs selected day-to-day patient care activities under RN supervision.
• Delivers compassionate support to patients and families.
• Assists with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene.
• Maintains safe, clean environment and follows infection-control policies.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
