Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Nurse Assistant to support patient-centered care under the supervision of a nurse in the Medical/Surgical unit. You will perform selected day-to-day patient care activities, maintain a safe, clean environment, and communicate with patients respecting developmental, age-specific, and cultural needs.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, providing compassionate support to patients and families, and ensuring HIPAA and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a Nurse Assistant Certification program or equivalent.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN to help reach treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Ensures compliance with health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains a safe, clean environment and follows infection-control policies.
• Performs other related duties as requested.
