Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Acute Cardiac / Stroke/ Stepdown unit, daytime shift (7 AM – 7 PM). You will provide direct patient care, monitor vitals, assist with mobility, and perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collection under RN supervision.

Candidates need a HS Diploma or Equivalent and one of the listed certifications; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent and one of the listed certifications or completion options.
• Basic Life Support Certification is required.
• Clinical experience or current enrollment in related program is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs, mobility, and ambulation.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection and IV removal as needed.
• Document patient conditions accurately and timely under RN supervision.
