Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for nights in the Acute Cardiac/Stroke/Stepdown unit. You will support daily living activities, monitor patients, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen collection under RN supervision.

Requirements include a HS diploma and one of several certifications or clinical experience options. BLS certification is included as a requirement. Competitive benefits and market pay apply.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• One of: Sentara Care Partner Certification, CNA, NCMA, NCPCT, US Navy Hospital Corps School, EMR/EMS/EMT/AEMT/Paramedic, or current clinical student status.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Monitor vital signs, mobility, and ambulation; collect specimens and perform phlebotomy as directed.
• Peripheral IV removal, EKG testing, and Foley catheter management per protocol.
