Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Surgical Stepdown's Critical Care unit. You will provide direct clinical and support services under RN supervision, delivering patient-centered care to postoperative and specialty patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS and CPR certification current or within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to pass clinical competency testing.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.
• One of: 1 year PCT experience, nursing program with clinical rotations, CNA/ certified medical assistant training, EMT/field medic experience (adult ED).
• Fluency in another language a plus.
• Previous medical/surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated patient care interventions in the Critical Care department.
• Clinical tasks include vital signs, bathing, feeding, wound care, hygiene, room/linen care, and emotional support.
• Maintain safe, clean, and equipped environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Contribute to efficient operations and quality patient/family outcomes.
